President Anne McKillop making a presentation to Alice Elliott on achieving 90 International Caps at the International Series in Belfast.

IWIBA President Anne McKillop made a presentation to Alice Elliott to mark the occasion of her achieving 90 International Caps.  The presentation took place at the British Isles International Series in Belfast in March 2017.

After a long and successful indoor bowling career Alice has decided to retire as an International player.  Alice has won 6 Irish titles in Pairs and Triples and has gone on to win two British Isles titles in Pairs and Triples.  The first of her British Isles titles was the Triples title won in Auchinleck in 1987, accompanied by her mother Mary Montgomery and her sister Joyce Mulholland, only 6 months after they started playing stadium bowls.

Alice was first selected to represent Ireland in 1988 at Llanelli Wales and she has played for 30 successive years on the international team.  It was a very poignant walk on for Alice as her first game and last game were both against Wales.

We wish Alice well in her retirement and are pleased to report that she is still involved with the IWIBA as Honorary Secretary.
